Lasts

Selecting the right last (the foot-shaped form around which a boot is constructed) is the most critical step in ensuring a comfortable fit. We use lasts that balance classic American silhouettes with modern anatomical comfort.

Here is a guide to our current lasts to help you find your perfect fit.

The 1942 Last

This is our newest addition, inspired by mid-century military and work lasts but refined for a superior, locked-in feel.

  • Profile: A low, sleek profile that keeps the lines of the boot clean and aggressive.
  • Support: Designed with additional arch support to ease the fatigue that comes from long days of standing up.
  • Anatomical Shape: This last features a narrower heel to prevent slip and a wider, longer forefoot to hold your heel and instep, not pinch your toes.
  • The Fit: We recommend ordering a half size down from your Brannock length unless you plan to wear thick winter socks or have very serious toe splay.

The Service Boot Last

Our flagship Service Boot last is a versatile all-rounder designed for those who value a vintage aesthetic without sacrificing daily wearability.

  • Profile: Features a medium heel lift and a classic toe spring that gives the boot a work-oriented feel.
  • Volume: It offers a medium-high instep volume, making it accessible for a wide variety of foot shapes.
  • The Fit: We recommend starting with your standard Brannock measurement for this last.
