In this video, I test out wire lasting on a new build. This is only my 5th time using the technique! It offers a great way to cut down on wear and tear on your hands while reducing the number of nails needed in the last.
While it might not suit every leather (especially those that can't be wet lasted), it is a handy trick to keep in the workshop toolkit, and I plan on adapting it for Goodyear welted pairs in the future.
